Nobody likes being flashed.

Yeah, you think this is all some crappy picture of my room, but it's secretly the reflection of a crappy picture of my room. It's a picture of the window with the flash off. See the streetlight in my closet?

Filler #1

This picture is lame and therefore I label it filler. It's supposed to be a shot of this peculiar little car I saw in my review mirror while going down 131 S today. It looked like a mini cooper with an old-fashioned siren on top but I didn't actually get a good look at it becuase it was behind me and I refused to slow down for such a lame picture. Here's hoping something more lovely appears tomorrow. At least it was warm(er) today.

They're meeeeelting, meeeeeeeeeelting

Today was warm enough to start melting icicles and some of the snow. Yes, it made it mushy, but it also made some of it go away which I love. I am not a big fan of winter. Beginning-of-year winter is the dreariest time of year. Snow is lovely during Christmas and then I'm ready for it to be warm again. Even though I know it's still a ways off, this melting gives me ideas of Spring. I love spring. Here's another picture of melting:

It's also a lovely picture of my air conditioning unit.

It's all fun and games until somebody loses a finger.

I saw this vase in Target. It's part of their World Bazaar or whatever they call it. It has that big egg-shaped bottom and then a tiny little opening at the top. I looked at that opening and thought "Wouldn't it be funny if I got my finger stuck in there?" but then I did get my finger stuck in there and it wasn't very funny at all.

Monstersicles

This is actually something I saw and took a picture of yesterday. The picture really doesn't do it justice but there are some monster icicles hanging down from the roof on either side of my bedroom window. They're seriously huge. Like killing Susie Salmon's killer at the end of Lovely Bones huge. Maybe even huger. It looks like my breath was caught in the picture too. That's how you know it's cold. That or the huge icicles.

Apgar of a New Year

This was taken around 2:15 am New Year's Day 2008. Therefore it's not the birth of the new year but just shortly after. I was trying to get a lovely shot of the trees covered in snow, but as it was still snowing it made it a bit tricky. This is what I got when I switched to nightvision and used my hand as an umbrella over the camera. Happy New Year!
